Plastic packaging makes us carry stuff with ease and safety. Our momentary convenience is often devastating for marine animals. Marine animals get entangled in this plastic waste and sadly die due to the complications incurred. It is estimated that 100 million marine mammals are killed due to plastic pollution every year.  There is a solution to this problem, and that is using packaging and cutlery substitutes that are biodegradable. Trash is everywhere, in our oceans, in our landfills, and sometimes on our roadsides. Trash is devastating for the environment. It is proven that plastics negatively impact marine life. Additionally, food waste also adds Methane to the atmosphere, and landfills cause toxic chemicals to leak into the ground, poisoning groundwater. Re-engineering means to take a product and modify it for another purpose that is useful to us humans. Carbon dioxide is the main component responsible for climate change. Currently, we have no sustainable solution to limit the amount of carbon dioxide we produce as humans. This is causing us to continue to put CO2 into the atmosphere, adding to climate change.  However, with the utilization of carbon sequestration, we can at least attempt to become carbon neutral in a sustainable fashion.
Carbon sequestration is when we take carbon from either the air or another source and place it deep into the ground. This allows us to walk back some of the CO2 we put into the atmosphere. It is sustainable because the carbon stays in the ground for a long time. One such carbon sequestration project is biochar.

So this idea is what it sounds like. I've talked about climate change in my blogs. Mainly because it's something that I’m passionate about. I truly feel like the solutions are out there and we just need to make them happen. One such project is using aerial reforestation to restore forests. 
Trees are a lifeline of this planet, in the age of climate change. We can only plant so many trees by hand and it is not a cost-effective method for regrowing forests. Trees act like carbon sinks taking the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and produce oxygen for us. What is great is that the carbon produced is ideally returned to the ground. This allows these plants to aid in reversing and mitigating the devastating effect humans have on the environment. Also, trees help maintain water levels in the ground as well as prevent erosion. So this is going to be more of an advocacy post for climate change. Let me start by saying that the earth existed before us and it will continue to exist long after us. Human activities create the climate change that we experience now. While some people still deny this statement, every science educated individual knows this to be a fact. Save the bees was a huge movement both last year and a couple of years ago. Where has all the energy gone? Bees still need our help. So here are 5 things you can do to save bees.
Plant organic bee-friendly plants and flowers: GMOs plants are unpredictable; you never know if the side effect of genetic modification can cause harm to bees. Also, you don’t want to make a bee’s job harder for them by planting plants that are a natural deterrent to bees. For example wormwood, mint, and cucumber. Rollable solar panels are the future. Why? This is because they’re cheap and easy to make. Normal solar panels take much longer because of the structure and its materials. Conventional panels take a lot more metal and require more manual labor to be put into when making them. Rollable solar panels are kind of like making paper. Food waste is a major problem in our society. Before we start, take a moment to think of all the times you threw something in the garbage just because you were full or didn’t like it. I know I’m guilty of it. The average human wastes a lot of food. Whatever the reason maybe it’s time to change for the better. For some reason, I feel like we can feed everyone in the world just with the food we’ve all wasted. But it’s not just us, major corporations and businesses waste way more food than the average human.
